The Board Of Fire Engineers

The Board Of Fire Engineers consists of the Fire Chief and two Assistant Chiefs. They are Chief James Doyle, Assisstant Chief Kirk Keating, and Assisstant Chief Jack Porter The following is a list of the command staff: Speedwell Engine Co. Captain Philip Tanson, Lieutenant Bruce Rowell Jr., and Lieutenant Stephen Abell Sandy Bay Engine Company Captain Andrew Porter, Lieutenant Kristian Juncker Jr., and Lieutenant Kevin St. Peter Squad One Captain Mark Wonson Lieutenant Franklyn Favaloro Ladder One Captain Kevin Beaulieu, Lieutenant Lawerence Libert

The Engineers are responsible for preparing budgets, approving invoices, payrolls, training, vehicle maintenance, fire reports, overseeing 4 companies & personnel, record keeping, equipment purchases and maintenance.

The Engineers also work with other local Chiefs and the Essex County Mutual Aid system.

The Forest Fire Department

The Rockport Forest Fire Department is headed by warden Michael Frontierro and staffed by twelve full time members, on call 24x7.

In 2001, the department moved it headquarters to a new station on DPW Way on Upper Main Street after 35 years on T-Wharf.
